Christmas Eve with "Wielkopolanie"
On December 20th, 2023, like every year, the big family of the Folk Group “Wielkopolanie” met at the Christmas Eve table to express Christmas wishes, share the wafer, sing Polish carols and pastorals, talk and enjoy each other’s presence.
As always, it was family-friendly, warm and musical. The evening began with probably the most beautiful Polish carol “Bóg się rodzi”, which was sung together by the dancers, staff and friends of the ensemble. Then it was traditional as always – a summary of the year, wishes, sharing the wafer. You could spend some nice time talking together at the tables with Christmas Eve dishes.
The past year was a very busy one for the people of Greater Poland. It was full of unique trips and many concerts, including educational ones. The group’s dancers had many opportunities to get to know each other better and make friends. The most important thing, however, is that, thanks to their systematic work, they contribute to saving Polish music and dance traditions from oblivion on a daily basis and cultivate especially the folk traditions of Greater Poland.
