The great weekend of May on another year of jubilee decade of the University of Adam Mickiewicz is celebrated in various ways for the whole month of May. The program is as interesting as in the previous years.

Jubilee celebrations began in the  Botanical Garden, where for three days, from 1st to 3rd of May it was possible to participate in exhibitions, lectures, social games and fairs. 5th of May in Collegium Minus an annual Poznań Literary Award ceremony took place. The XIIIth National Library Week was celebrated in Biblioteka Uniwersytecka from 6th to 14th of May.

11th and 12th of May belong to the students. On Wednesday the Folkloristic Group ‘Wielkopolanie’ has inaugurated the day of caring for physical culture on the occasion of the Day of Sport. After the opening ceremony lead by Andrzej Lesicki, professor of UAM, ‘Wielkopolanie’ have presented their artistry. For the large gathering of representatives of authorities of UAM and students of the university, this year, dancers presented dances and chants from East Cracow. On the afternoon of this day the 10th edition of the Great Grilling took place, where to the accompaniment of live music students enjoyed the May weather on Morasko Campus.

In the program of the May jubilee decade there are also numerous conferences, exhibitions, symposiums and the Student Culture Festival ‘Kulminacje’. All the jubilee celebrations were closed by the 2nd City Game entitled ‘UAM: Nuclear’ organized on May 21st in Poznań.
