On January 18th, the ZAMEK Cultural Center in Poznań hosted a unique concert to celebrate the 28th edition of KUTIA. The event marked the artistic culmination of this year’s KUTIA, while also expressing intercultural dialogue and respect for the traditions of various nations.

From the very first moments of the concert, a solemn yet warm atmosphere was felt. The historic interior of the ZAMEK Cultural Center created a unique setting for the performances, emphasizing their solemn character. The carefully prepared artistic program encompassed folk music, choral songs, and more intimate musical forms, giving the concert a rich and diverse character.

The stage featured both experienced artists and groups that have long cultivated the musical traditions of their regions. Performers included the “Wielkopolanie” Folk Ensemble, the “We Are from Ukraine” Choir, the Myroniuk Sisters, and the “Guga-Duo” Duet. Each performance was met with enthusiastic applause from the audience, as the rewards for their performances.

“Wielkopolanie” Folk Group performed the most beautiful Polish carols and traditional pastorals during the concert, showcasing the richness of the native musical tradition and festive folklore of Greater Poland. Colorful folk costumes and distinctive melodies created a spectacle that transported the audience to the world of ancient rituals and customs. The ensemble’s performance was not only a showcase of high artistic skill but also a living lesson in the country’s history and culture.

The participation of the “Wielkopolanie” Folklore Ensemble in the concert celebrating KUTIA XXVIII perfectly aligned with the event’s aim, which aims to connect traditions, nations, and generations through art. Their presence emphasized the importance of cultivating local cultural heritage and its role in building identity and mutual understanding.
