XXIX CARNIVAL BALL OF FOLK GROUP
It is always an opportunity to meet with current and former dancers and their friends. According to Polish tradition, ball began with noble Polonaise with Mazur dances. After that, dancers from group invited guests to together dances: Polonaise, Waltz and Polka.
After all, Wielkopolanie presented specially prepared program for this occasion. During the show the dancers referred to their last year touring, where they prestented polish national culture. Last year, group from Poznań performed their artistry in Georgia and Spain. Thus, the programe of the concert included songs and dances from these two countries. At the beginning of the show there was a divine named “Carmen” which was accompanied by four men, after that “Wielkopolanie” presented to the audience spontaneous flamenco. After Spanish rhythms on stage, the girls reminded the audiance old hits from Filipinki band. The song was about Batumi in Georgia.
Folk dance from Georgia captivated the gathered people. Brave, full of spontaneity men showed off theirs fitness to the georgians girls, which were presented full of grace dances. Choreography prepared: Jan Galasiński – Carmen, Nicol Krzyżanek – Flamenco, Weronika Gramse, Katarzyna Mazurek, Marta Mszanowska, Marta Ostwald, Martyna Pacyna – Filipinki, Agata Pospiech, Mikołaj Szymański – dances from Georgia. At the end of the show, Wielkopolanie along with the guests performed the Spanish dance.
All the guests could see a slideshow from trips, specially prepared by dancers.
