“WIELKOPOLANIE” IN THE PROGRAM OF THE LINES
On 14th of August during the 2nd Polish Festival “Of good taste” took part the premiere of “Kuchnia kresowa” book of Andrzej Fiedoruk. “Wielkopolanie” first presented on Old Market Square and next in “Waga miejska”. In program prepared for the audience musicians presented : “Mam gitarę”, “Dzień deszczowy I ponury”, “Tylko we Lwowie”, “dzisiaj bal u weteranów”, “Pryszcz Mańki widowisko”, “Łyczakowskie tango”, “Polka ludowa”.
„Kuchnia kresowa” is a composition of culinary stories and recipes for the most popular dishes from region of “Kresy”: cepeliny, bliny, kulebiaki, kołduny, barszcze, kiełbasy, bigosy and cakes, ice creams and home-made alcohols. The portfolio of tastes can give satisfaction for all of the guests that came to the festival.
During the meeting audience could not only talk about the culture and culinary but also try prepared products. PK tł. TT
Kitchen of “lines”, many of stories, legends inspired by the longing after the paradise and the youth. In many conversations lines are mentioned in few levels: historical, socjological-industrial and the symbolical level. I think that the last level is the best for our national opinion about lines. The main role of creating the belief about lines took opinion created by the culture and art mostly from the time of seizures made for the fortifying of hearths. For sure stories told by grandparents also took part in creating the history. Lines and also its culinary are treated by us like lost love and it falls into the deepest part of our soul. Here grows the myth which lives with its own law and changes our own view.
