„WIELKOPOLANIE” FINISHED ARTISTIC SEASON

On 6th of July 2014 the Centre of Culture and Arts in Konin and Community Centre in Kramsk organized a Cultural Festival ” Towards tradition “. The main aim of the festival is to strengthen the sense of regional identity through the presentation of folk traditions fro„WIELKOPOLANIE” FINISHED ARTISTIC SEASONm East Wielkopolska and to create opportunities for exchange experiences of instructors and folk groups.

A new feature in this year’s edition is the introduction of a new category – stylized folk groups, inspired by the folk music. Cultural Festival ” Towards tradition” its the event includes music, art and dance. Each of these areas constitute a separate category subject to evaluation by the selection jury.

Folk Group “Wielkopolanie” „WIELKOPOLANIE” FINISHED ARTISTIC SEASONwas invited to add splendor by their concert all-day struggles of many soloists, storytellers, instrumentalists and folk groups. “Wielkopolanie” began the performance by presenting dances and songs from the Krobia and Domachowo area, so the old Lands of Bishops of Poznan. During the concert Wielkopolanie presented the gathered audience the dances from the Rozbark and Bytom region and the traditions and culture of the Spisz Highlanders. During the concert, the audience had an opportunity to learn from the “Wielkopolanie” traditional plays of Wielkopolska and regional dances of Silesia.

 After several hours of artistic presentations from dozens of groups and soloists.

Elżbieta Sztamblewska – ethnographer of District Museum in Konin

– Piotr Kulka – Director of Folk Dance Group „Wielkopolanie”

decided to grant:

in the category of singing groups I place to the „Wielkopolanki” band of the Municipal Cultural Centre in Kramsk, that it is qualified to the 49th Festival of Folk Bands and Singers organized by the Regional Centr„WIELKOPOLANIE” FINISHED ARTISTIC SEASONe for Culture in Lublin,  in Kazimierz Dolny.

in the category of stylized folk group Award to the „Dzieci Kujaw” folk group from the Municipal Cultural Centre in Kramsk.

in the category of storytellers – Stanisława Dziardziel.
 

All awarded,  Folk Group “Wielkopolanie” congratulates and wishes for more success.
