"Wielkopolanie" at the wedding of a dancer

Para młoda wychodząca z kościoła

On October 15, 2022, another dancer of the Folkloristic Group “Wielkopolanie”, Maria Jaworska, together with Artur Mizerka, stood on the wedding carpet. The newlyweds took their marriage vows in the church of st. Florian in Wiry. The dancers of the group took part in the Holy Mass, presenting themselves in the costumes of Poznań bambers as well as eastern and western Cracovians, adding splendor to the ceremony to the delight of the bride and groom. After the mass, many cheering guests waited in front of the church and the young couple could listen to numerous songs addressed to the newlyweds, performed by the Folkloristic Group “Wielkopolanie”.

Maria Jaworska started her adventure with folklore in her childhood – as a dancer of the “Wielkopolanie” Children’s Folk Group. During all these years, many trips and many drops of sweat shed on rehearsals, she made fantastic friends who with great joy participated in such an important day for her. Her journey with folklore through life, however, continues, and Maria actively participates in the activities and events of the band – from that day as Mrs Mizerka.
