From 6 to 8 December, the dancers of the mature group of the Folklore Group “Wielkopolanie” perfected their artistic skills at workshops in Nietążków.
Over forty dance and singing lovers practiced the dance steps of regional and national dances. Under the supervision of instructors: Maciej Sierpiński and Piotr Kulka, they perfected the technique and character of dance. The theme of this year’s workshops were dances and songs from Rzeszów and Przeworsk.
Regional dances are not the only topic of this year’s autumn workshops. “Mature dancers” of Wielkopolans “also trained combinations, steps and steam forms used in Polish national dance – Krakowiak. In addition to dance classes, training participants also improved their vocal skills. Greater Poland, Cracow and Spisz folklore resounded in the exercise room, as well as the Silesian Beskids.
The national and regional folklore honed from early morning until late at night gave the dancers a lot of joy and motivated them to continue working to spread Polish culture in the country and abroad.
