THE MARCH EDUCATION OF CHILDREN
“National dances” – that was the theme of the March educational tour targeted for kindergartners and students of Greater Poland’s schools. Poznań, Śrem, Pecna, Suchy Las, Brodnica, Oborniki Wlkp., Złotniki, Czarnków, Trzcianka, Pniewy, Nowy Tomyśl, Puszczykowo, Grodzisk Wlkp., Stęszew, Mosina, Leszno, Pogorzela, Gostyń, Wilczyn, Zagórów, Borek Wlkp, Kobylin, Wiry, Środa Wlkp., Granowo, Opalenica – those were the cities where artists from Poznań performed. More than 6000 people took the opportunity to become acquainted with the history of the Polonaise, Mazur, Kujawiak, Oberek and Krakowiak as well as the culture and traditions of the past days. High school, gymnasium and primary school students along with kindergartners also had an opportunity to see clothing which our ancestors wore and in which they danced Polish national dances. For the little children “Wielkopolanie” prepared lessons in the form of a fairy tale, while for the youth in the form of a lecture. Both forms of lessons conducted by Mr Piotr Kulka met with great appreciation not only of students but also teachers.
In April, Folk Group “Wielkopolanie” will present its artistic craftsmanship at two concert tours with ballet and national dances as themes.
