The Great AMU Grilling with "Wielkopolanie"

On May 16-17, 2025, the Morasko Campus of Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań turned into a center of student joy, music, and joint feasting. The seventeenth edition of the Great AMU Grilling, one of the largest student events in Poland, attracted crowds of young people eager for good fun, live concerts, and integration in an informal atmosphere.
During this year’s event on the University premises, artists from “Wielkopolanie” presented their artistic craftsmanship, presenting Polish musical and dance folklore to a large audience. In addition to watching stage presentations, students also had the opportunity to learn about traditional Greater Poland games and get acquainted with the richness of Greater Poland’s instrumentation and costume culture.
For years, the Great Grilling has been uniting students not only of Poznań universities, but also young people from all over Poland. This year’s edition of the event was held under the slogan “United at the grill” and, as every year, combined the atmosphere of the May Day with a real music festival.
On the first day of the event, on Friday, May 16, the stage was taken over by young, talented artists: AGT, Noisekillaz, Natura2000, Kosma Król, and at the end, the crowd was captivated by Guzior – one of the most recognizable voices of Polish rap. Saturday evening, May 17, brought a unique return to the stage – a performance by the band Ich Troje on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of their career.
However, the musical feast was only one element of the event. As every year, participants had the opportunity to legally grill on the campus, use the wide range of food trucks, including vegetarian ones, and relax in special animation and partner zones.
Although the weather was not spoiling this year, the turnout was good. Students, graduates and supporters of the university showed that the Great Grilling is not just an event – it is a tradition that integrates the academic community, provides unforgettable experiences and builds community.
