MAGICAL TIME OF CHRISTMAS!
As every year, the great family of the Folkloristic Group “Wielkopolanie” met at the Christmas table to make Christmas wishes, share the wafer, sing beautiful Polish carols and pastorals, and talk and enjoy their presence.
On December 12, 2018 there was an annual meeting of the Christmas Eve Folkloristic Group “Wielkopolanie”. As always, it was family, warm and musically. The evening has begun with the most beautiful Polish Christmas carol “God is born”, which the dancers, staff and friends of the band sang together.
Later it was traditionally as usual – a summary of the year, wishes, sharing the wafer. At the tables with Christmas Eve dishes one could spend time talking together.
Last year was very busy for Wielkopolanie. He abounded in exceptional trips, many concerts, including educational ones. The band’s dancers had many opportunities to get to know each other better and make friends. The most important, however, that thanks to their systematic work every day they contribute to the preservation of the Polish musical and dance traditions from the oblivion and especially care for the Wielkopolska folk traditions.
In the period between Christmas and the New Year, Wielkopolanie, as in the Polish tradition, also met to sing. It was traditionally and at the same time modern. The team management prepared a lot of surprises for all guests.
