IT IS TIME TO POLONAISE BE STARTED
In October, the Folkloristic Group started a concert tour of the Wielkopolska’s centers of culture and education.
During 79 concerts, over 4000 children and adolescents admired the beauty of national costumes and dances. During the “Wielkopolanie” tour, besides the capital of Wielkopolska, they visited Bytyn, Przeźmierowo, Skórzewo, Kaczory, Nekle, Kostrzyn and many other towns and villages of their region.
The program of the concerts includes national dances: polonaise and mazur and dances from the period of the XII century Poland- polka galopka and polka mazurka.
Children and youth also had the opportunity to dance Polish national dance – a polonaise with the dancers of “Wielkopolanie”. The dance steps and basic figures of the polonaise delighted the concert participants and were performed by them with great care.
Educational school concerts is an idea to enable contact with the culture and art of the young and the youngest audience.
“Wielkopolanie” have been going on concert tours for many years to raise children and youth among the values of Polish culture, with particular emphasis on dance and folk music. In the month of November, the band’s dancers will present themselves during three tours of educational concerts in the field of national dances, Wielkopolska and south of Poland. The concert will complement school programs related to broadly understood culture.
