On March 28–29, 2026, the National Museum of Agriculture and Agri-Food Industry in Szreniawa became the venue for a unique encounter with tradition and folk culture. This institution organized the Easter Fair, which, as every year, attracted numerous visitors eager for a festive atmosphere, regional flavors, and handicrafts.

The Fair offered a variety of attractions. Visitors could enjoy numerous stands offering traditional handicrafts, from Easter eggs, Easter palms, and holiday decorations to ceramics, embroidery, and woodwork. Regional delicacies, home-made meats, baked goods, honey, and other products prepared according to old recipes were also on display.

Demonstrations of traditional crafts and farm work also proved very popular. Visitors could witness the making of traditional Easter decorations live, and participate in workshops that introduced craft techniques and allowed them to try their hand at it themselves. Presentations related to life in the countryside of old, which presented everyday life for generations past in an accessible way, complemented the event.

Concerts by Folk Group “Wielkopolanie” an integral part of the event, forming a key element of the fair’s artistic program. Four age groups performed on stage over the two days: two children’s groups, a core group, and an older group. This generational cross-section demonstrated not only the diversity of the repertoire but also the beautiful continuity of tradition.

The concert program included a ritual performance related to the custom of walking with a May tree and a rooster in the Łowicz region, which immersed the audience in the atmosphere of old Easter traditions. The groups also performed a wealth of Polish regional dances. The audience could admire dances from Cieszyn, Spisz, Szamotuły, and Żywiec regions – each distinguished by its distinct character, rhythm, and colorful costumes. The youngest artists captivated the audience with their polka performance, demonstrating immense joy and natural stage presence.

The group’s performances were not only an artistic highlight but also a living lesson in folk culture, perfectly fitting the theme of the entire event.

The Easter Fair in Szreniawa once again demonstrated the importance of cultivating traditions and passing them on to future generations. Thanks to the dedication of the organizers, exhibitors, and artists, visitors could experience the true spirit of the holiday and immerse themselves in the richness of Polish folk culture.
