DANCING CHRISTMAS SONGSOn the 31st of January 2010 in the St Casimir Church in Gułtowy the concert entitled “Another future” took place, which was initiated by Edmund “Eda” Jaworski, the parson of the parish. The aim of this concert was the solidarity with the Tibet and other victims of persecution. The concert was begun by the Schola Gultoviensis and than the Folk Group Wielkopolanie performed. The performance of Wielkopolanie consist of the most beautiful Christmas Carols and Christmas Songs dated back at the turn of the centuries XVIII and XIX. The gathered members of the parish had the occasion to listen to Christmas Songs from different regions of our country, and the most beautiful from Wielkopolska were performed accompanied by the music played the traditional, folk instruments such as:”kozioł weselny” “maryna”or “dudy wielkopolskie”. The performance of some of the Christmas Songs was enriched with by the Wielkopolanie prepared dances. Among applauded dances there were: “wiwaty and oberki” from Szamotuly region, „owijoki”, „lotane” from Wielkopolska region and some dances from the others part of Poland . The concert in Gułtowy was the consequence of parson Jaworski’s interest in Tibet and the persecutions taking place there. Parson Jaworski has drown Polish people’s attention to Tibet people problems and their lot from many years, and during concerts he is telling many stories related to life and tragedy of those people.
