Betlejem Poznańskie

On December 15th, the Folklore Ensemble “Wielkopolanie,” supporting the Bone Marrow Team, enhanced this year’s Bethlehem of Poznań with their performance – one of the most important Christmas events in Poland. Four groups from the ensemble took to the stage by the festive nativity scene: two children’s groups, the main ensemble, and seasoned dancers, who together created an unforgettable spectacle.

Colorful costumes, diverse dance arrangements, and traditional folk songs performed by all the groups immersed the audience in a unique, festive atmosphere. Spectators had the chance to admire both the energy of young performers and the experience of mature dancers, which beautifully highlighted the intergenerational nature of Polish folklore. The carols and folk songs served as a reminder of Poland’s rich traditions, perfectly complementing the atmosphere of Bethlehem of Poznań.

Bethlehem of Poznań is not only about stalls with handicrafts, regional delicacies, or mulled wine but also a space for celebrating culture and tradition. Thanks to the presence of “Wielkopolanie,” the festive shopping and family strolls gained an additional dimension, reminding everyone of the joy of shared celebration. The ensemble’s performance demonstrated that Polish folklore is timeless, capable of uniting people while evoking admiration and emotion.
