From December 7-9, the dancers of the group of the older Folkloristic Group “Wielkopolanie” perfected their artistry at the workshops in Nietążków.
Over thrirty dance and singing enthusiasts practiced dance steps of regional and national dances for three days. Under the supervision of instructors: Maciej Sierpinski and Piotr Kulka, they got to know new choreographies and perfected shuttles, round, even and other dances and figures characteristic of the Lublin, Rzeszów and Greater Poland regions.
Regional dances are not the only theme of this year’s autumn workshops. “Mature dancers” of Wielkopolanie faced the national krakowiak, whom next year they want to present on stages not only in Poland but also beyond its borders. In addition to dance classes, the participants of the training also improved their vocal skills. The exercise room was full of folklore of wielkopolska, krakowski, Spisz, as well as the Beskid Śląski regional dances.
National and regional folklore honed from the morning till late night hours did not cause one of the former Dancers a great problem and are already preparing for the next trainings.
