50th Anniversary of Youth Culture Center no. 3 in Poznań

On December 3, the Youth Culture Center No. 3 in Poznań celebrated the 50th anniversary of its activity with jubilee concerts, an exhibition of art studios and history presented on large screens and easels.

The facility, established in September 1974, is bustling with life from morning until late in the evening, bringing together children and youth from Poznań and the surrounding area. MDK No. 3 offers children from preschoolers to young people many rich and attractive classes taking place within the framework of: Preschooler’s Academy, folk rhythmics, Fiki-Miki dance group, contemporary dance, Children’s Folk Group “Wielkopolanie”, playing keyboard instruments, playing the guitar, vocal group, art. classes, workshop graphics and others.

The Children’s Folk Group “Wielkopolanie” has been operating within the structures of MDK No. 3 since 1990. The members of the group are children and youth from Poznań and the surrounding area. The group works in the following age groups: Rhythmics on folk (preschoolers), group I of younger children, group II of middle children and group III of older children and youth. Music, singing and dancing classes are held in all groups, ensuring the comprehensive development of children’s talents.

The jubilee concerts are a real celebration of all groups operating in the Cultural Center, including all groups of “Wielkopolanie”, who presented tournament dances, “Hej hop polka”, national oberek, Greater Poland folk games “Praczki” and dances and songs from Cieszyn. Dancers of the main group “Wielkopolanie” danced a noble mazur.
