Jan Galasiński is a dancer, musician, vocalist and a choreographer. In Folkloristic Group ‘Wielkopolanie’ he trains dancers who take part in Nationwide Dance Competitions.

Jan Galasinski has graduated from the Faculty of Vocal and Drama at Academy of Music in Poznan. He is also a certified folk dance instructor (certified by Ministry of Culture and National Heritage).

He was awarded a cultural scholarship founded by the Marshal of the Wielkopolskie Voivodeiship. He was also a winner of Special Prize founded by Folk Dance Ensemble ‘Slask’ for the best performance of Mazur, Polish national dance. In 2017 together with his dance partner, Jan Galasinski won the title of Champion of Poland in Polish Dances.

As a dancer, he has taken part in various dancing projects, both in Poland and abroad. For instance, in 2010 he performed in year-long concerts celebrating Chopin Year. As an singing actor he used to participate in numerous master workshops carried on i.a. by proffesor Urszula Kryger, Adam Kruszewski and professor Eva Blahova. Since 2013 Jan Galasiński has been collaborating with The Great Theatre and Music Theatre in Poznan, performing in Poland with operatic, operetta and musical repertoire.

Nowadays, besides training dance couples from “Wielkopolanie”, Jan Galasiński works as a choreographer and director of Folkloristic Group ‘Marynia”. Moreover, he leads Polish and regional folk dancing trainings for teachers. He is also a presidium member of International Council of Organizations of Folklore Festivals and Folk Arts. Apart from that Jan Galasinski is a director of Nationwide Polish Dancing Competition, which is organized annualy in Wronki.
