Wielkopolanie educate.

February passes under the aegis of unpredictable weather, although the dancers of the Folk Group "Wielkopolanie" work tirelessly to change cold mornings and windy afternoons for the better. Once again, they visited schools and educational centres for students, incl. in Bojanów, Golina Wielka, Guestsjewice, Poniec and other towns in Wielkopolska.

During concerts for schools and kindergartens, they showed the beauty of national dances. Authentic costumes, steps and dance figures characteristic of individual regions and unique music aroused admiration from the youngest to the oldest participants of the concert. Children and teenagers had the opportunity not only to watch costumes, dances and singing, but they could also dance and play with the dancers. The artists conducted many educational activities covering the issues of national culture - they discussed the details of the costumes described the technique and steps of individual dances. Thanks to such activities, non-obvious and incomprehensible concepts became closer, and gusty mazur, lively krakowiak, subtle kujawiak and joyful oberek became known to successive generations of young people.

Educational school concerts are an idea to enable contact with young audiences' culture and art. For many years "Wielkopolanie" have been going on concert tours to educate children and youth among the values of Polish culture, with particular emphasis on dance and folk music. These concerts complement school programs related to broadly understood culture.
